Great photograph. Something about the SD45 just looks massive, even more than the modern day monsters.

The SD45 had the typical EMD clean lines, but the flared radiator gave it a touch of class much like the GP30 with its styling and the SD7/9/18/24 with their slightly enlarged radiators. And at the time is was quite a bit larger (longer) than previous EMD power.
