This picture is a subtle reminder for us. We all see pictures of this line in the past and think it would be great to see it in operation again. However, we don't really think about things like this switch stand. If UP were to decide to use this line again, think of all the little things that haven't seen a grease gun in 20 years. Sure, the track is still there, but how many minor detail "inner working" kind of things have already been lost to time. It's sad, but I'm almost surprised this isn't already the latest new bicycle trail across the mountains.
