Great photo. The angled steps on the Geep are a lot easier to climb than the straight up ones on the FM. What are the plates directly above the couplers? They look like they can be lowered down to create a gangplank. Were they on passenger models to allow the trainmen to move from the car to the engine or vice versa? They are very different height wise between the 2 engines.
