It does look like PCC style body parts were employed but those sure aren't PCC trucks. Have a couple nice hard cover books on PCC cars and their development but they are a bit buried right now. I think, think, these cars are mentioned in at least one of the books. Oh, what are the titles? Umm, one is PCC an American original. Not sure which of the several authors go with which of the 2 books but I do remember 2 names, Seymour Kashin and Harre Demoro (spelling?) Carlson or Karlson was another one. Kalmbach and Carstens the two large model railroad publishers each have some traction modeling books, and I'm sure this car is in at least one of them. Those books are in reach, hang on a second. Okay, pages 48 and 49 of Carstens' 1968 Traction Planbook have 1/48 scale drawing of the car type. Mentions 14 were ordered. Were an interurban derived from PCC and rode on St Louis outside equalized MCB trucks. I think MCB was Master Car Builders? Looks like they ran on 5ft 2.25 in track gauge. Has photos of numbers 23 and 18 in a slightly fancier livery than this one. Drawing caption says, "Numbers 11 - 24, the cars weigh 49,000 pounds; are powered with four Westinghouse 1433 motors delivering 75hp each. The cars are equipped for multiple unit operation, stand 10ft high to top of roof and measure over 50ft long."
