Railroading is much the same the world over. This may be in Russia, but could pass for nearly any freight yard here in the States. Thanks for sharing a "typical" freight yard, which is awesome, Aleksei.

^ except light poles like that are pretty much a thing of the past, as are pneumatically operated switches, like it appears are in use here

Is Russia still using 5 foot guage track, or have they "standardized" to the 4 feet, 8 and one half inches of the west?

Russia still using russian 5 foot (1520 mm) gauge track. Change of our gauge is not planned.
