Wow! I didn't think the Chargers would have come so soon. I guess this should be expected. I sure will miss those F59PHI's. I certainly hope they will NOT end up in the scrap yard. I haven't even seen many CDTX F59PHIs.

I'm really beginning to understand how railfans from the F and E unit era must have felt when those were displaced by the newer and less aesthetically pleasing locomotive types. It's all relative. I must say I do like the paint scheme and return of the strobe lights, but that's about it!

Sure is beautiful. With 4400 HP and capacity of 125 MPH, Siemens SC-44 may become a real winner. Great photo, Alex. My first PCA vote this week.

Interesting wheel sets. Looks like external disk brakes nested in the wheel.

Love how the new livery no longer matches the consists - putting the yellow stripe where the blue was and vice versa - and much higher and out of alignment. Gone, too, is the attractive front to back livery that gave a more streamlined look, now in favor of what looks more like a header page on a drug company's promotional sheet. Aesthetics are so last century.
