I was FORTUNATE enough to ride this trip the next year, 1970, and can still recall that it seriously snowed most of the way up from Boston. The cars were pretty well "sold out" and there seemed to be considerably more snow on the ground at North Conway. Don't remember much about the trip back to Boston, except that it got dark early and I probably slept much of the way back, the day having started VERY early.
