Do I hear a fully restoration coming??? We could only wish, but it would be a great PR stunt for BNSF to have a new steam locomotive ready to go for the USA's 250th birthday in a Red White and Blue warbonnet type of paint scheme.

@ C H: This locomotive has favored the worst out of the remaining sisters of the 2900 class. 2962 is approaching her rebirth into operation with the next year, and 2925 is set to be cosmetically restored at the California State Railroad Museum. Despite the locomotive's (2921) small amount of actual operation time compared to her sisters, hundreds of hours of volunteer cosmetic work and the relatively dry climate of the San Joaquin Valley - the elements, vandals and lack of care since the last volunteers worked on her have taken their tole. At least one major flood have waters lapping the top of the locomotive's drivers.
