Your description got me curious so looked the area up on Google Maps, man, they sure squeezed that railway in there between shoreline and hills. Ah, the Sochi Olympics were near there.
Is a lot of fun to see what other places around the world look like. Now, if only Scotty could beam me there to see it in person!
Okay, located where photo location is just north of Zamek księcia Oldenburg. Looks like there is a tunnel between photo location and town. And a second tunnel east side of town that I haven't yet found its far end.Ah, there it is, down by Kolumnada and what appears to be a large hotel.

FSWood, thank you! I have placed approximate location to the photo. It was taken at the entrance to Gagra town from Adler's side. You are right, just behind the mountain there is a tunnel. There are a lot of tunnels, bridges and other interesting constructions on this line.
