Should be B40-8s, Doug. I remember them fondly, and that was the last time the ex-Erie was used as a serious through route into the NYC (northern NJ) market for intermodal (because the ex-Erie was the route that had double stack clearances without modifications). As soon as Conrail got clearance projects completed on the ex-PC nee NYC (via Selkirk and the old West Shore "River Line") and PRR (plus RDG and LV to replace the Amtrak owned ex-PRR between Harrisburg PA and the NJ terminals), the old Erie was quickly relegated to light use once again. The NS/CSX aplit up of Conrail drove the final nail in the coffin (despite NS' assertions of using the ex-Erie for intermodal traffic; it never materialized) since the NYSW/D&H nee CP traffic rights operations lost their "friendly" Buffalo connections to reach Chicago once those connections gained their own northern NJ access.
