I'm sorry, Neven, I don't know the fate of the caboose and the fake locomotive.

Locomotive and caboose are on display in Shelby Township, Mi. http://shelbyhistory.tripod.com/id84.html

A nice nostalgic catch - thanks for sharing! Seems the locomotive was built in 1920 as an 0-4-0T for Singer Manufacturing before it ended up in Canada. I understand the pony and trailing wheels are from another locomotive and are not even attached. Still - what exists today, now in Shelby Township, MI is more than what would have existed had Bob Owen never saved the locomotive.

Thanks, Mitch and Will. I never knew what happened to the caboose and locomotive. I remember when Bob had the stack made for the locomotive. I also remember the partially dismantled 0-4-0 that he started out with. I knew that the caboose was from another railroad, but I couldn't remember which one. It was fun to get aboard the North Shore Interurban and see how equipment from that famous line actually looked like on the inside. I only rode an Interurban once, from Birmingham to Fllint via Royal Oak, but I was too young to actually remember the trip. A friend, Bill Simpson, was agent at the Washington Depot when it was still in use by the Air Line.
