Ok, the diamonds themselves have guardrails, but what are the sets of guardrails just before the diamonds above and below the train? Great shot Frank.

For some reason, the Engineering folks saw the further need to protect line side stuff, by keeping derailed equipment from wandering out of line at that specific location.
