It sure would be nice if there was at least one PRR steam locomotive restored and available for excursions (it doesn't matter if it's this G5 or Altoona's K4, etc). Maybe some day there will be PRR steam back on the rails. There is a group in PA that is building a PRR T1 (4-4-4-4). They hope to have it built by 2030. There is of course, PRR 0-6-0 No. 643 at Williams Grove Park near Harrisburg, but it's boiler was replaced long ago no longer resembling the PRR locomotive it was. And of course, PRR No. 1361 which may or may not operate before the T1 Trust builds its 4-4-4-4 PRR locomotive from scratch.
