No doubt this material will be easier to clean, but I sense it may be a good deal warmer in the summer than the cloth cloth seat covering. Also concerned about keeping such a light color looking clean. "Time will tell."

I like it, but what is "e-leather?"

Looks a lot better than the old blue seats.

COACH???? The light colors make the seats look wider. Looks like Business Class. As an Amfleet Coach regular, I like!!

What Amtrak really needs to do is find a way to not suck money out of the U.S. Treasury year after year. I love trains, and I wish train travel was a practical option in this part of America, but it isn't and Amtrak is a boondoggle. That's my opinion.

Looks pretty! And If I'm lucky; I will ride it on november 16 or 22 (NY-WS and WS-NY). I hope the "e-leather" dont make us have a sweaty ride.

Lancasterguy, the recent funding for the airline and highway systems when combined is more than the total subsidy given to Amtrak since it's launch in 1971... You tell me what the real money loser is. Regardless, public transportation is not a for profit business, it's an INVESTMENT. For every dollar spent on Amtrak, $3 is returned to the 500+ towns and cities it serves through the revenue the train brings in.
