Is this line still in service?

The rails still seem to have some shine, but the gravel indicates nothing's been there for awhile.

This is not an abandon track, rather it is leased from Union Pacific by a short line that runs service from Klamath Falls Oregon to Alturas California and to a few points east and south of Alturas. During my travels I did locate a train that was tied down with a number of covered hoppers and I saw a hirail vehicle crossing Hwy. 139 about 10 miles west of Alturas. Further, as was pointed out, the rail head is worn and there were flange marks in the dirt, so there is clearly some traffic, however not much. BTW - thanks for all the views folks and especially you John Dziobko - it is always cool for me, when one of my RR photo idols favorites one of my shots.
