We used the term "Hoovers" in our area. They were the loudest electric locomotives ever, in my experience, sounding like a giant vacuum cleaner or a even a jet at take-off. This is a great photo, showing the old Iselin station, which I suppose was replaced by Metropark. Railfanning was just not the same for many of us after Conrail retired their GG-1s, E-44s, and E-33s. It's great to see these vintage photos, which recall fond memories.
