I watched an interesting cable special about people "tagging" freight cars. Ironically, the people who we have to thank for that are the ones in New York's MTA who went to war against graffiti on subway equipment. Once the graffiti-proof paint and cleaning wiped away all of the "work" they did "decorating" the sides of subway cars, they shifted to "tagging" freight cars instead.
