This is a great shot coming out of the North River Tunnel into Penn Station. I wish I knew where to find more pictures of "the Pit" and the North River Tunnels. Today, one of the tracks to the right (hidden by darkness/reflection in this photo) is for Amtrak's Empire Service, and goes under the East Side Yard and continues to the "Empire Tunnel" up the west side of Manhattan. Please send me a message if anyone has any more pictures of this part of Penn Station...I'm trying to model it in HO scale.
