It's a nice photo, and the streetcar looks nice. But, in other cities these streetcars are massively expensive and don't pay for themselves. I hope it works out for Milwaukee, I used to have a lot of relatives that lived there. When money is spent on a project like this then money that might be needed elsewhere is not available. I just returned from a country that has a marvelous train system, a Metro in its capital, a high speed rail line running from north to south, and a network of other EMUs and conventional trains. But all the cities in most of the streets smell like poop because they haven't upgraded sewers and waste management in probably at least 70 years. Politicians are the same the world over, shiny trains get votes, sewers probably not so much. I love trains or I wouldn't be on here, just don't like government subsidizing them at the expense of what I really want them to do.
