I just don't get it. Why is it that some people have to destroy, mutilate, or vandalize things all the time? These were fine locomotives in their days. People don't care any more let alone have any morals what-so-ever. Take a long look at all the freight cars passing by at a grade crossing, for example. I think more than half to three-fourths of a train have been vandalized or tagged as some say. It is ridiculous!

Totally agree Dan. I'm just wondering what they are doing in Mississippi. SLRG is based in Colorado! I have no idea why these f-units aren't there now, besides a lack of money of course.

The color appears to be different in the posted aerial photo! Still a good shot!

John, to my best understanding, Iowa Pacific moved them down here with the intentions to run a dinner train out of Canton. That never panned out, and Iowa Pacific has since sold the Grenada Railway to International Rail Partners. IP is running the Train to Christmas Town to afford shipping for the F’s along with other equipment. Getteriv this was shot during a brief break in the clouds while the drone shots were taken in overcast conditions. Shadow reduction on the drone shot slightly skewed the paint color. The real paint color is more of an in between in these two photos.

Nice shot's I got to get pictures of these back when both of these units where on the P&N in North Carolina. IP has since sold that piece of railroad off. The purchaser is now trying to make something of the railroad IP never did. It's a shame these where never used on the train to Christmas town up here. But what two year IP did run a train to Christmas town it was a success. Shame these where in bad shape and couldn't be used.
