Friction bearing trucks, too! I remember seeing the wagon top cabooses (bay window) on Staten Island's North Shore Line (B&O owned) back in the 70s.

This inspired a quick photo search- more roads than I expected had rounded-roof freight cars, especially Pennsy. But it looks like the prominent ribs were a B&O characteristic. And of course B&O had the wagon-top bay window cabooses and (surprise!) wagon-top covered hoppers!
