I really appreciate these photos literally miles from where I grew up in Nahant before moving to Marshfield then Florida. It allows me to see how things have evolved.

@Bob Pickering (BP) Me too. Grew up in Arlington across the Upper Mystic Lake from the Lowell Line. Used to ride my bike over to West Medford or Wedgemere. Been gone to Ohio since 1969. A few times recorded the sound of a B&M freight that went north every evening around 7 p.m. from my bedroom window when I was in the 8th grade (1965). It's in the blood.
