I was amazed at the crowds of locals who turned out to see the Big Boy at every stop she made. For many of these little towns, these visits were big deals. I suspect that many of the hotels in places like Evanston, Rock Springs, Rawlins, etc. don't often find themselves putting out the "No Vacancy" signs like they did over the past couple of weeks. The UP Special Agents did a great job too, keeping people safe, but also allowing them access most of the time, even in the middle of the night. Congrats to UP and to the Steam Team. This appears to have been a very successful event.
