Is that yellow creek water natural or a Photoshop artifact?

This creek is just as vibrant on the raw photo. I am assuming this is from the surrounding area's soil composition of clay and red clay. Recent heavy rains causing erosion and plowing activities on nearby upstream fields would lead to an increased amount of these clays mixed into the water causing that coloring. I know for a fact in the past I have desaturated similar creek photos to keep the natural coloring from being distracting, but given the lack of other colors I thought it added to the photo here. Given the presence of red clay throughout most southern states, I would expect others run into the dilemma of whether or not to reduce the coloring on these small creeks also.
