Was that the infamous "bad water" trip? That was a long day!

Hopefully, the restoration of Reading's first T-1 (#2100) will be completed in the near future in Cleveland, OH. I know restoration work on #2100 is progressing because I recently read that the stay bolts were being machined in a local machine shop about 10 miles from where I live. I had the opportunity to ride behind sister T-1 #2101 back in 1970's and the stack talk was great. Thanks for the memories and nice #2102 photo.

Doug- we got home at 5 a.m. the next day. We spent several hours trapped in the yard around the curve in the picture and had to get water from a fire engine before we got to Jim Thorpe. The return trip was OK until we got back on the East Penn main line, and then the water foamed in the boiler, supposedly from fire-fighting chemicals contamination. Jeff- I hope that we can ride behind a 2100-2102 doubleheader someday soon.
