Fascinating - never realized the main rod was connected to the center driver. Must be a jarring experience. Does not seem to be the norm as other well known 0-6-0's all have their driving rod connected to the last driver - this is true of Wilmington & Western's #58, CNJ #113, Conway Scenic's #7470 - heck, even Thomas the Tank. Williams Grove PRR #643 however, adds to the collection of 0-6-0's with a main rod connecting to the center driver - as does the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania's Pennsylvania Power and Light streamlined locomotive.
