"Stupid is as stupid does!" - Forrest Gump. Some people have to learn the hard way, at the inconvenience of others. Like you said Mr. McCloskey, "Lesson learned, hopefully!" However, in my experience with Operation Lifesaver and even after many presentations, people never really learn even after an experience like this. *SMH!

Everybody is in a HURRY nowadays ! Whatever the Speed Limit is everybody does 5 to 10 over riding your Ass 'cause you're not going faster ! And in this photo , patience out the window , " I'm in a Hurry , can't wait for no Train ! "

Even on residential streets drivers act as if they're in a hurry to go no where, you're driving on a residential street with the speed limit 20MPH, and the driver behind you is tailgating, following 6 inches on your rear bumper, then have the nerve to get angry when you have to make a turn on said street.
