Without taking either side of the debate here, I'm just gonna say that this is an incredible shot. The rain especially adds to things, plus the mist in the air... it all comes together perfectly. PCA.

Just out of curiosity... what was the "...insane turn of events...", if it's permissible to explain or reveal? Your "Remarks & Notes" description leaves one wondering what happened. I do agree with Jessica and her comments, however the "mist" she alludes to is the smoke from the road fuzee/emergency road flair laying in the street at the crossing visible under the fuel tank of the locomotive

Dana, not more than 10 minutes before Q020 was supposed to go by at CP VO, a car randomly drove straight onto track 1 and got stuck. I quickly called CSX and 911 so the situation could be handled correctly. Q020 stopped and a tow truck/trooper came to help get the car off of the tracks. After the car was removed and 3194 sounded it’s horn that it was ready to move forward, we asked the trooper to stay for us and park his patrol car for a photo prop. He kindly stayed and parked next to the crossing allowing me to capture this image while laying in the road under pouring rain. A night none of us will forget that is certain.

Love that LD Charger Pursuit on frame to the left there, adds up well with the overall law enforcement theme of the image. Great shot overall mate. Well composed!

WoW. Fortune was with you. But you made your own luck by asking the trooper to pose so you could get this perfectly staged but entirely serendipitous shot. Well done.
