WOW!! Impressively scary. Incredible photo Mr. Behrbohm. The "pessimist" in me, for some reason, is suddenly taken with the thought: "Goodness, I would hate to see some catastrophic failure of the safety devices on this thing!" Talk about a sheer drop at the speed of sound... yikes! Still an incredible photo. And a work of genius in the mechanical operation to still be operating since 1926. Again, WOW!!

When my wife and I were in Switzerland a few years ago, we approached a steep railway like this; she asked, "Do you think it's safe?" I replied, "It was designed, engineered, built, and maintained by the Swiss; OK?"
