Thank you for these excellent photos of the SCL. I was raised in Portsmouth, Va which was served by the Seaboard and the ACL. My grand father retired from the ACL in Portsmouth a couple of years prior to the merger. I have lived through the green of the Seaboard, the purple and silver of the ACL, the black and yellow of the pre-merger ACL (that was disappointing!) and the black and yellow of the SCL, the gray of the Family Lines, the Gray of the SBD and the many changing colors of the CSX. Your photos bring back some excellent ACL and SCL railroad memories.
