Why are they scrapping those good CP locomotives?
They basically have new coats of paint on.

At a glance, that faded CP power set is reminiscent of the days when RI still ran here.

To start with. I want to keep 7009 and any twinkie left there!

The CP locomotives are still owned by CP and have been stored at NRE for several years pending rebuild. They've been put together and continue to be stored until CP makes a decision on what to do with them.
