Roger, interesting photo, and to note this photo was taken just 23 days before I was born. What caught my eye about this photo, and what makes it interesting, are the two Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe box trucks on the overpass above the train. Two railroads represented in one photo. Mr. Ken Crist caught a very lucky photo with this one, and you're lucky to have it in your slide collection.
