Wouldn't it be great if this engine could be taken to, say, the Illinois Railway Museum or a similar place to keep from becoming "torch bait"? When you think of so many "first" locomotives, such as the first Mallet (B&O's "Old Maude"), the first 4-8-2, Baldwin's first diesel switcher, all of which and more wound up as scrap metal, it would be nice to see this first of a series preserved, IMO.

The first SD70MAC would be worth preserving but the 70ACe';s were just a 70MAC that was a bit more environmentally friendly.
