1936? Or 2036? Modern stylist should take some cues. Amazing how advance the state of US rail was way back in 1936, through perhaps, the late 1960's. Some things have changed. Thanks for sharing!

Like something out of a Pontiac dealer. All those portholes, makes me wonder if wheel skirts and a sunroof were options!

With Denver being the Western terminus of the City of Denver, I doubt it is on it first Westbound run from Denver.

Note the 5 railroad employees waving at this first run. No doubt they were hoping this would be a successful venture for passenger transportation (as automobiles and airplanes were beginning to lurk over the horizon).
