Shot of a LIFETIME!
Posted by E.M. Bell, www.jreb.org on January 22, 2005
Without a doubt one of the best nightshots I have screened at RP, even if it was staged...just wish I could have been there!

I love this shot. Very good color. This is the best of the three, even if the black and white version may be a little "truer" to Link's spirit. This shot works in so many ways. I sense a POTW coming. Again, beautiful shot! -- Joe H.

That is a very nice photo... I hope someday I"m that good. What is the "Buckingham Branch" railroad, though?

Very nice shot. I like this one.!!

The Buckingham Branch is a CSX spinoff that started up only a couple months before this photo was made, for those of you who don't know. Nice shot, Mike.

Actually, the Buckingham Branch has been around for about 15 years, and they recently purchased the CSX North Mountain Sub (Overhead line) which is how they got in this shot. Nice shot Mike.

Nice photo Mike! I didn't know that many people know about the Buckingham Branch (my favorite shortline) and, Yes, that is right theTeenageRailfan, the BB has been around scince 1989 and is NOT just sum spinoff of CSX.

Absolutely astonishing Mike, good work! I must wonder though why the NS engine's ditch lights are off?

Might as well sell your gear as you will NEVER beat this shot. Simply amazing capture Mike!

Amazing- what looks like sunset under the bridge in the distance, and twilight over the bridge- excellently lit exposure - slave fill

Been to that overpass and you have composed a beautiful shot! Compared with the triple overpass shot in Richmond. Thanks for sharing!

Pristine photo. Perhaps THE most perfect meet I have ever seen! That overpass looks like a great place for awesome shots like this; I hope you post some more from this location.
