Posted by Richard Silagi on January 23, 2005  It is not totally uncommon to see a P42 on a Capitol train. Right now with all the mainline service disruptions on the Starlight and the California Zephyr, I think they must be putting the Amtrak California F59's into maintenance and using the P42's while they are sitting around idle. The 119 is usually assigned to the Starlight pool. That Superliner car has been assigned to one Capitol trainset for over a year. It is a Coach/Cafe care.
