Waves are crashing into the seawall as a Class 150 / 153 set departs Dawlish. Today the seawall has been rebuilt with a higher wall and larger buffer to protect the railway from storms and waves.

STORM! Gales drive waves into the Dawlish station as a local service arrives. The station is slated to be rebuilt with a larger buffer to minimize the waves impacting the railway & station.

Cross Country

Cross Country rolls through on a beautiful day on Dawlish. I successfully climbed Langstone Rock!

Gales overnight whipped up the seas at high tide, causing waves lash a London Bound HST. Today this seawall has been rebuilt larger and the long HST sets replaced.

Great Western Railway by the sea. On this visit I made it a point to climb back up here.

Today brought snow, hail, rain and thunder to parts of the UK. Here in Dawlish we had a dramatic sky for a while. View of this 220 is from The Bleheim a must for any rail enthusiast.

A HST set blasts through Dawlish UK during a spell of sunshine on a rather chilly day. Our 2nd visit here yielded plenty of trains including these HST's who's days are numbered.
