A BNSF westbound from Bakersfield rounds the horseshoe at Caliente in evenining light. Caliente is located at MP 335 on the Union Pacific Mojave Subdivison.
As the front of the train goes into a tunnel, the end of it comes out. Standing ontop of tunnel 10, one can get a really awesome perspective of the Loop in it's magnificence.

My God daughter, Sarah Noell Frey, sits and watches as NS 117 glides by her down the Columbus Line ahead of the OCS Derby train. No worries, we were on safe road where there was no traffic.
