A tropically painted Tri-Rail commuter train passes the aptly named Coconut interlocking. This was my first train photo of 2021.

The pair of GP38's sounded good after stopping to close the bridge over the Caloosahatchee Canal. The 10 car train momentarily delays a small yacht coming off Lake Okeechobee in the background.

A pair of 32 year old B39-8E's cross the wooden pile trestle over Alligator Creek. SGLR 594 is former LMX 8587 and I suspect I photographed it many times while on lease to Burlington Northern.

The Lake City to Baldwin Turn heads home with a pair of long hood forward SD's and ~80 cars on the drawbar passing signals installed by the Seaboard Air Line RR.

Closing in on it's terminus, Kansas City to Jacksonville train 125 is flying through the lowlands of north Florida.

Florida, Gulf & Atlantic's Lake City to Baldwin Turn rolls east through an archetypal Florida setting.

The once weekly CSX interchange heads north with 18 cars.
