KB&S GP38-2 No.701 "Paul" stands at the carriers shop in Iroquois, Il. 701 and the sister units were rebuilt from ex PC/CR GP40s and in my book were Alco killers.
With a solid string of gons for Lafayette a KB&S train rolls southeast on a steamy hot summer day.

After coupling all six units together, 701 leads the ferry move south on the old NYC main.
