A train of 01800 #3 Red Line Cars is arriving at the old Charles MGH since rebuilt. The #3 series arrived 1993-1994 allowing for the retirement of the 01400 series "bluebirds"

The last El in Boston. Type 7 at North Station about a month before the last elevated in Boston was abandoned and demolished in favor of a new route underground.

Outbound Type 7 leans into the curve on the now demolished elevated. This the last "EL" that was left in Boston closed in June of 2004 with the new route underground.

Two Type 7's are inbound on the now demolished "El" that ran over Causeway St. Today trollies make the approach to Science Park via an incline.

Everything in this photo is no longer here, the El, Boston Garden all demolished. A new arena stands in it's place and the Green and Orange line share a "super station" below ground at this spot.

These 0600's #4 cars were replaced in 2009 after 30 years of service with a preserved pair going to Seashore Trolley Museum. The Blue Line retraces an old narrow gauge ROW.

LRV's on the Green "D" line inbound through Newton. This former B&A line was one of the first in the USA to be converted from railroad to rapid transit in 1959. The LRV's are retired.

Braintree opened on March 22nd 1980 as an extension of the south shore route of the Red Line. Here a set of former silverbirds # 1 Red Line cars await departure. Oldest cars on the T.

This was the worst storm of the 99-2000 season in Boston (which was not much by their standards) Despite the weather, an LRV makes a stop. The LRV's are now retired.
