Three dash 8s take a loaded train south into Two Harbors.

A T-Bird has pulled up and called the CN RTC desk looking for lights to leave the plant and head back to the mine to reload. Seems to be lights all around.

MEC C40-8 7594 on Track 1 passing closed Ayer Tower. Will be heading back to the yard through the east leg of Hill Yard in Ayer. The yard switcher has dropped some empties for an outbound train.

Reduced to being a lowly yard switcher this GE is idling out front of the old Clinchfield HQ. Somewhere there's on the site there's a shot of the unit in stealth scheme.

Back in the day when the Santa Train was not so glamorous the consist threads it way southward through bare trees in murky weather. Only the train changes.

The wind was whipping as this empty ore train ran across the open yard at Biwabik along the CN Iron Range sub.

Before it went to L & C to be a slug this unit sets outside the shops, recently arrived from UP.

A nice morning heading back down to Proctor from the Iron Range with the empty limestone cars.

Coming off the CN Iron Range sub and heading south at Iron Jct. with still steaming taconite pellets. A mechanical problem at Two Harbors caused the reroute of this train down to Proctor instead. ... (more)
