It was a gorgeous day for a train chase. Here is the first of many shots I took of these 3 units riding elephant style.

Three GE's lead a double stacker westbound through the Santa Fe cantilevers west of Galesburg.

Three GE locomotives cross the Omaha Subdivision as they take the tight curve at the start of the Sioux City Subdivision.

An eastbound train on the Modoc Line arrives at Alturas. There will be no pick up today, so the train will continue on to the crew change at Wendel.

Three GEVO's depart Summit westbound elephant style.

BNSF 5333 leads a westbound z train through Cherokee Canyon in the late morning hours earlier February of this year.

Late evening at Verdemont along the Cajon Sub finds an eastbound Q train with 9124 leading.

BNSF 9124 east passes through Verdemont as it works upgrade towards Cajon Pass.

Just as the sun is about to set, a westbound stack train is beginning the pull up Yampai Hill. The head end has just passed the landmark water tank at West Pica.
