This is a former Chesapeake and Ohio switcher bought by the N&W. S1 number 274 was shot by my father as the two of us visited Shaffers Crossing as guests of the benevolent Norfolk and Western.

I've just gotten around to scanning some of my father's negatives. He was shooting 127 roll film with an old Voigtländer while I was taking color slides on the trips that he would take me on.
