361, a helper on a Mt Storm coal haul casts a reflection on an aluminum hopper as a string of empties zips by it on their way up the mountain for more coal.
Record snowfall and highwinds have made lots of work in the West Virginia mountains for this Jordan Spreader. Two AC44's should supply plenty of horsepower for the job.
While on a project at West Keyser tower with HABS/HAER, I was able to catch veteran operator Tom Hartman throwing the Armstrong levers. Since the image the tower was razed and Tom retired.
It's 2004, and a new SD70Mac helper set, 4813 and 4816 rest in the helper pocket at West Keyser. Later they will lead 10,000 tons of coal to Mt Storm, WVA.
