NS coal train 820 rumbles through Ivor, Vriginia with the Conrail #8098 in charge. The lead unit was added in Bluefield WV. after it was taken off NS coal train 578 to be fueled.

Norfolk Southern's first heritage unit, Conrail 8098, leads a coal drag through Massillon on what seems to be a early summer day in Ohio.

Coal drag 578 swings through the truss bridge in Massillon with six AC units on the point, the lead engine being the freshly released Conrail heritage unit on its first day of road service.
