N&W 475 Thunders up the grade towards Black Horse Rd

Norfolk & Western 4-8-0 475 tackles the grade between Long Curve and Carpenters on the Strasburg Rail Road. The Mastadon has its hands full, and slipped shortly before it entered this frame.

I've just gotten around to scanning some of my father's negatives. He was shooting 127 roll film with an old Voigtländer while I was taking color slides on the trips that he would take me on.

Norfolk and Western 475 charges westbound with the coach train into Cherry Crest Adventure Farm.

After running around the train at Paradise, Norfolk and Western 475 leads the first excursion train of the day up the grade and back towards Strasburg.
