The Indiana Northeastern 1601 comes into Quincy, passing the Star of the West milling company. 1601 is an ex Reading GP7, built as RDG 606.

A fresh INER 1601 leads a Coldwater to Montpelier train east out of Coldwater. The 1601 was recently repainted and is looking sharp.

INRD's Sunday-Friday SAHW comes west into the Indiana University campus in Bloomington. The candy apple red INRD 9005 leads the train today.

NS 8025 leads NS 122 west through the old NKP street running portion in Elwood, Indiana.

An INRD GP38 and two SD40-2's lead a local east through the rock cuts to the west of Solsberry, Indiana.

INRD 3807 leads a 3 car local east into Bloomfield as it passes a small barn in the countryside.

RCPE 3430 heads west out of Phillip on its way towards Rapid City. The 10 mph run makes for a slow trip for the crew.

EE 17, a neat SW900, works the Concrete Materials plant on the northwest side of Sioux Falls.

The only two Iowa River Railroad engines sit outside of the Pine Lake Corn Processors plant. The 3802 is ex C&O while the 3004 is ex B&O.

The southbound D&I train continues south out of Chatsworth with two EMD engines.

The D&I north and southbounds meet at Chatsworth. The northbound will be parked for the weekend. The northbound crew will get on the southbound and bring it back to Sioux City.

Getting a good run out of Sioux City, DAIR 3026 charges its train through Jefferson, South Dakota. The town was named after Thomas Jefferson and is known for the Days of 59 festival.

The afternoon D&I northbound out of Sioux City crosses the Big Sioux River. Leading the way is DAIR 3026, an ex BN SD40-2.
