2 days after the 238th celebration of our nation's birth, loaded flat cars full of seemingly retired military equipment head east to the hump.
With two other coal trains waiting to take their empties back to Wyoming for more coal, UP 6046 pushes its train towards the Moffat Line, past other UP engines waiting in the North Yard.
A bunch of coal and coke trains sit tied down at the west end of the yard.
It was 105 degrees on this nice arid sunny day at the Orange Empire Railway Museum. I thought this classic Santa Fe "Foreman Car" was pretty neat.
