Heading a bit late back into Owosso, 4449 bears toward some thunderstorm clouds.

Friday's weather at the Owosso Steam Festival was a huge improvement. Before the gates open to the public, the Berkshires occupy their places for today.

Pere Marquette 1225 and Nickel Plate Road 765 sit in a sea of foam. Can you find you and/or your friends?

The Last time these two Berks were together was in Huntington in 1991, where they paced and double headed with each other and my grandpa was the engineer of the 1225.

Flagg Coal 75, Viscose 6, and NKP 765 stand ready the evening before the official start of Train Fest 2009. The air was thick with coal and oil smoke!

Five Trainfest participants are under steam at Owosso the evening before the great event gets underway. Everyone, I think, is hoping for an improvement in the weather.

NKP 765 sits next to the coal dock, as she is loaded with coal about 2 hours after arrival.
